Not only that, but today is Laura’s birthday! I know you will join myself and the team in wishing Laura a very “Happy Birthday!”. We kicked off the morning with a caffeine and sugar hit of coffee and homemade Birthday cake, created by our lovely office Administrator – Cassie Impey.
And now a few words from Laura giving you an insight into why we chose this awesome lady to join our team!
Last month was a very exciting and special month for me. I’m delighted to be the ‘n00b’ Recruitment Exec for the fabulous clockworkTalent agency. Joining the ‘Godmother of Digital Marketing Recruitment’, Natasha Woodford and the glamorous Office Administrator, Cassie Impey – I’m thrilled to be a new part of this ‘digi-sav’ recruitment team.
Coming from a marketing/financial services/creative design background my career history has been a varied and rewarding adventure to date.
Recruitment has always been a part of my life. My mother, a true recruitment guru, has been in the industry for 30+ years and is a much respected figure within her market (so a lot to live up to!) but certainly a family tradition I want to maintain through my own career path.
It began fresh out of University, graduating with a PR and Comms degree, I had joined a large and busy Currency Exchange company. Working with hundreds of NGO’s locally, nationally and internationally, I helped start, manage and maintain foreign currency fundraising campaigns alongside their corporate partners. Working my way up to Group Marketing Manager, it was an extremely rewarding 5 years in which I met some truly fantastic people.
From there, I then joined a UK manufacturer doing a design-for-print role, still within the third sector, designing promotional campaign artwork, looking after the launch of their online shop, launching their social media marketing and managing customer service.
On a personal level, I love a bit of fine-dining accompanied by a full bodied bottle of red… don’t get me wrong, a pint of cider will do but I always strive for the finer things in life!
And here I am now, a month into my new and exciting journey with clockworkTalent and look forward to meeting many of you at the fast approaching BrightonSEO event. Feel free to reach out to me on either email laura@clockworkTalent.com or mobile 07788211939.
