Our client offers bespoke internet publishing and technical services for a small portfolio of websites. Established 18+ years ago, they’ve evolved their successes as a tight-knit team of professionals producing long-standing success for a series of sites. Keeping ahead of the curve, we’re hiring an SEO professional to join their in-house team in Aldershot.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Publishing, as SEO Manager you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving rankings across a range of websites. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external specialists, you will draw upon your solid technical SEO knowledge to run site audits, make recommendations and ensure these are implemented correctly with tech and on-page SEO. Bringing strong skills in keyword research and competitor analysis you’ll be spotting opportunities to increase SERP positions.

With a team working to agile principals you’ll ensure there are regular updates for the sprint meetings every 2 weeks and editing content to keep it up to date with SEO trends and best practices. The more knowledge you bring the better, it’s beneficial to have run site audits, specifically worked on successful site migrations as well have the skills for schema markup to enhance content. It’s also helpful to have industry experience of websites in Travel, Lifestyle, Property, SaaS and eCommerce!

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in planning and implementing successful SEO campaigns
  • Enjoying being at the cutting edge of SEO developments (blogs, webinars, conferences, twitter chats)
  • Highly self-motivated but enjoy working in a friendly, small team environment
  • Confidence and ability to suggest and implement SEO improvements
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of SEO tools such as Webmaster Tools, Moz, SEMrush and Yoast SEO
  • Good knowledge of HTML and WordPress
