With internal promotion and the desire to offer flexible working, we are hiring a part-time PR Manager into the team. This job is ideal for someone looking to continue their PR career working a steady 15-20 hours per week in Brighton at a company who was most recently voted winner of the Brighton & Hove Employer of the Year award.


Reporting to the Editor in Chief, as PR Manager you are responsible for building this brand’s reputation amongst Students, B2B and influencer audiences, making them the ‘Go-to’ source of information. To do this you’ll be working closely with the exceptional PR agency and the internal community engagement team. With strong communication and impeccable writing skills, you’ll know how to seek out, understand and write a great story for differing student audiences. You’ll also be developing the PR database, building tangible relationships with journalists, bloggers and writers. Your experience and ability will enable you to analyse and communicate your research data, manage and prioritise your work and keep calm under pressure.


  • 3+ years’ experience in delivering powerful PR campaigns
  • Strong abilities in PR, Content & Social Media channels
  • Able to proactively identify, understand and create great stories for a range of audiences
  • Ability to deliver quality writing with pixel-level attention to detail
  • Keeping calm under pressure, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship building – you’ll be connecting with journalists regularly
  • Competent and confident but also able to accept other people’s ideas
