Description

With customers ranging from classic car enthusiasts to international wholesale clients, this well-established Sussex company was set up in the ‘80’s as a supplier of classic car parts. With access to over 40,000 rare and genuine parts, their reputation is excellent and relationships with suppliers are strong across the globe.

With sales predominantly by mail order, either by telephone or online only a small selection of customer collect from the efficient warehouse. With recent investment in a new Magento website, we are hiring an experienced Developer to take ownership and to become a pivotal asset.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Magento Developer will maintain, deliver and drive the continuous improvement of the company’s online window; carrying out essential full stack development, maintenance and enhancement of the company’s Magento based websites.

With outsourced hosting for the sites, your role will be focused more on developing integrations with third parties, improving performance and conversions and helping expand our online offering. As the lead developer, you will be responsible for both front and back end development, including everything from PCI compliance and the backup schedules to implementation of responsive cross browser-compatible templates and landing page split-testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and deploying high-availability Magento websites, as well as building bespoke extensions such as stock management and delivery integrations. We are looking for someone to champion the website, lead development of it as we grow our online presence.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

>>Excellent eCommerce knowledge

>>Experience in using Magento 1 and 2

>>Relevant qualification or certification i.e. Agile/PRINCE 2/Waterfall

>>Knowledge of CSS preprocessors

>>Solid MySQL and PHP development knowledge as well as experience in using JQuery & Bootstrap

>>Knowledge & experience in WordPress Development

>>Ability to implement responsive designs for cross-browser and cross-device compatible websites

>>Experience in third party API integration

>>Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

>>Ability to prioritise workload and possess excellent organisational skills

>>Creative problem solver with a passion for classic cars
