Content and Social Media Executive

Our client is a charitable trust promoting wellbeing, fitness and healthy lifestyles across East Sussex with a portfolio of facilities which include award-winning leisure centres, gyms, sport and physical activity programmes for the local community. The Trust prides themselves in ‘giving back’ and is also proud to have won Lewes Business Award, “Company of the Year, 2017”.

Since 2006, they have achieved year on year success and aim to continue this upward curve of growth with a priority focus on their Digital Presence.  Initial steps are the imminent launch of a new website and focused investment into Marketing. First, a new Marketing Leader to create and drive the strategy and then this role, a Content and Social Media Executive


As Content and Social Media Executive, reporting into the Digital Marketing Manager you will plan, create and manage engaging content including infographics, social media posts and other promotional material which will be shared with a focus on building the online audience.

Your holistic knowledge of digital marketing will enable to you confidently contribute to the team with ideas and planning. To create your engaging multimedia content, you’ll be in regular direct contact with internal departments and team members from facilities across East Sussex in order to create accurate optimised content and marketing assets. Your competent analytics skills will enable you to compile data reports and insights for the business’s varied stakeholders, influencers and key targets.

You will be ambitious in your performance, wanting to excel your contribution to the Trusts’ digital footprint.


>>2+ years in managing Social Media pages incl. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

>>Good holistic knowledge of organic digital channels (Content Marketing, Social Media and the fundamentals of SEO)

>>Use of Social Media monitoring tools

>>Interest and experience in Paid Social, maximising ROI from budget

>>Analytical mind, able to compile reports and provide insights from Google Analytics and similar reporting tools

>>Self-motivated and bringing strong research skills – competitor analysis, keyword research etc.

>>Ability to adapt and craft quality optimised content to different audiences

>>Excellent communication skills with an ability to work with diverse range of contacts

>>Pixel level attention to detail with a passion to be accurate

>>Naturally efficient with the ability to prioritise own work and multitask

>>Passion for the digital marketing industry, with genuine desire to learn and stay at the forefront of practices (conferences, webinars, blogs etc.)

Located in one of Seaford’s most historic buildings, you’ll be in the charity HQ which is also home to one of their multipurpose leisure centres with well-appointed gym and coffee shop. With a bus stopping directly outside the office, it’s an easy commute from Brighton AND has ample car parking. This full-time, permanent role where you’ll also enjoy subsidised facilities membership (including the coffee shop) as well as a commitment to your own learning.
